Andy Anderson has been working for Zoe's Cruises since 1999. He and Melanie Sherwood met in 1997 and she introduced Andy to the world of cruising. Andy had put his father on a bus in Sun City - Roseville bound for an Alaskan cruise that Melanie had organized. When the bus pulled away it left Andy and Melanie standing on the curb. They have been working as a team ever since! They work predominately from their home office in Sun City Roseville.

Andy moved to Sacramento from San Diego in 1960 and started working for Aerojet. He worked in the rocket industry for 10 years. He then went to work for the State of California (Employment Development Dept. (6 years) and Franchise Tax Board (18 years)). He worked as a computer programmer, systems analyst, and microcomputer support person. He retired in 1996 and moved to Montana for 2 years before returning to the Sacramento area.

Andy started cruising in 1976 in the Caribbean on the original Sun Princess (about half the size of the current Sun Princess). He has sailed on over 25 cruises and continues to gain experience and expertise by escorting, and taking independent cruises every year.

Andy loves to talk about cruising and help others learn about this exciting way to travel!

Melanie Sherwood moved to Sacramento in 1991 after living most of her life in Los Angeles. In preparation for a 30th wedding anniversary celebration, she and her husband contacted Zoe's Cruises about a Panama Canal Cruise on the Regal Princess. Although Melanie had been a Travel Agent in Los Angeles for a considerable period of time Zoe's Cruises & Tours, was indeed, an unmatched specialist in the Cruise Industry. They jumped at the chance to be able to travel on a Zoe's Cruises Escorted departure.

When the opportunity was presented to join the Zoe's Cruises & Tours Team and escort groups with Zoe's Cruises & Tours, Melanie considered it a "gift". Following the passing of her husband, Melanie continued to work as a Team Member with Zoe's Cruises & Tours. Andy and Melanie both enjoy working as Team Members on a variety of cruises.
